ABOUT TARIQ
Tariq is a London based freelance illustrator.
His experience includes work for private clients including portrait commissions, product artwork and book cover concepts for a New York Times bestselling author.
Studio experience includes work on film posters and DVD/Blu-ray covers for Bobo Creative and Coffee & Cigarettes design agencies, including uncredited work for “The Pirate Queen with Lucy Liu” cinematic VR game. Commercial experience includes mockup artwork for a major USA retail company.
Originally from Yorkshire, Tariq moved to London after completing a BA (Hons) in Illustration & Animation and a graduate programme with The Artworks illustration agency. After overcoming issues with mental health he now lives with his girlfriend and two Ragdoll cats.
Tariq’s mixed media style is influenced by retro airbrush illustration, the work of classic film poster artists and a lifelong passion for film and science fiction.
His artwork has been displayed at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
